Basic Phone Functions
To make, answer or end a call, use your phone, speakerphone, or headset as you always have. The Redial and Flash buttons also continue to work just like they did with your traditional phone service.
Making Calls – Dialing Instructions
Making calls on your GLOBALINX service is just like making calls through a traditional phone services. Anyone can call you on your GLOBALINX phone number.
Example:
USA Local Calls: area code + phone number (999-999-9999)
USA/Canada Long Distance: area code + phone number (999-999-9999)
International: 011 + country code + phone number + # (011 + 99 + 999 + 999 + 9999 #)
*Note: If you dial the pound key “#” after you enter an international number, your call will complete faster.
Message Waiting Indicator (MWI)
If you have unheard voicemail and your phone supports MWI, then the MWI light will blink. If your phone does not support MWI, you will hear a warbling dial tone when you go to place a call.
3-Way Calling
By pressing the Flash key when you’re on a call, you’ll get a second dial tone and can place a second call. Hit Flash again, and all three of you are conferenced.
Caller ID
You’ll know who's on the line — in an instant, at a glance. Again, it’s included as a standard feature.
Find-Me
This revolutionary feature is a combination of traditional Call Forwarding and One Number (Find Me / Follow Me) services. You can have your calls ring simultaneously on your office, mobile and home phones, or they can be set up to ring sequentially in any sequence and with whatever delay you decide to set. If you want to be found, this makes sure that you are! CallBlast is configured from your GLOBALINX Control Panel. *Only available on US phone #'s.
Voicemail
You get a very sophisticated voicemail system, with personal greeting, and the option of forwarding voicemails to your email and/or notification to your alpha pager. To access it, either dial 00 from your handset or dial your GLOBALINX number from any other phone. Then dial * once the announcement starts, and you’ll be into your voicemail for either retrieval or setup.
7-digit Local Dialing
If your local area supports 7-digit dialing, you can continue to use it. Set this up from your GLOBALINX Control Panel - set Country Code to 1 (US/Canada) and Area Code to your local one. This may be the same as as the Area Code of your GLOBALINX phone number or it may be completely different if you’ve gotten a GLOBALINX phone number from outside your Area Code.
Last number redial
Just push the Redial button on your handset.
Internet billing
You receive your bill via email and pay via credit card. We accept credit card only at this point, but will soon take electronic check.
Online Account Management
Our Control Panel portal allows you to manage your account, configure CallBlast (our combination of Call Forwarding and One Number services) and even view received calls, missed calls and dialed calls, PLUS view your call detail records. Log in from the home page of this site.
